SIL Quoting Essentials
Course Overview
This course provides a technical framework for navigating the complex process of securing funding for Supported Independent Living. It focuses on the customization of the “Roster of Care” (RoC) to accurately reflect the intensity of support required for each participant, ensuring that quotes are both competitive and sustainable.
Aligned with the latest NDIA “Home and Living” pricing models, this training equips providers and managers with the skills to justify support ratios, capture indirect costs, and present a professional evidence-based submission. Participants will learn how to minimize the risk of “under-quoting,” which can lead to service gaps, or “over-quoting,” which may result in NDIS rejections.
What You’ll Learn

Define the relationship between the NDIS Plan, the SIL submission, and the final service agreement.
-
Master the technicalities of the “Roster of Care” (RoC) spreadsheet, including mapping 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3 support ratios.
-
Clarify the roles of the SIL provider, the Support Coordinator, and the Allied Health professionals in the quoting process.
-
Identify “Shadow Shifts,” active overnight vs. sleepover supports, and how to quote for them correctly.
-
Execute a “SIL Submission Pack” that includes the RoC, a detailed SIL quote, and supporting functional assessments.
-
Understand the “Irregular SIL Supports” policy and how to account for non-standard support days (e.g., hospital stays or holidays).
